PAST MONTH

And so, she decided to start living the life she'd imagined | Free wallpaper downloads by This Little Street + Coco & Mingo

Hi everyone!!

It's almost been a month since I last posted a blog post or made a video.
The month of April, was crazy busy!! I had my 21st birthday party to plan, Easter hopped along, my dad came to visit me from Perth, trying to get a handle on work as I am now a Manager of the business I work for (which meant less time I had to blog and more resting time instead) and then ANZAC Day came around then all of a sudden I found myself in a new month, MAY.

It's not like I couldn't blog, but it's nice and refreshing to take some time off to enjoy what life has to offer outside of the internet world. How have you all been? What's happened since March, tell me all about it in the comments below :)

I will ease my way back into blogging soon but I just wanted to update you all on what's been happening the past month but I will be back!!

Have confidence in Yourself

You’re an individual and you’re created wonderfully and beautifully unique!

First of all, I want to touch base on self confidence. Who determines what is 'beautiful' or 'ugly'. No one. Yet growing up in this society and being patronized by the media doesn't help girls, teenagers and even adults with being confident in the own skin.

Now-a-days technology doesn't help much in the department of giving women the power of feeling 'beautiful' or 'comfortable' in their appearance. Don't get me wrong I am thankful to have technology, but with the use of Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter or magazines, we are bombarded with images (being stereotypical here) to be 'skinny and thin'. Don't get me wrong I used to and still am on occasions have low self-esteem issues that like to creep up on me and play tricks with my mind. But I'll let you in on a few tips on how I deal with them and hopefully they'll help you too, but don't take this as I'm pushing it onto you. Just happy to help. Also if there are any guys out there reading this, you are handsome too.

Resolutions on New Year's

Ohhhh the good ol' make the new year's resolution and see how long it'll last' is fast approaching. Like honestly where did 2014 go? I think I was stuck between June and July then it rapidly fast forward to the end of December... The typical resolutions, are bound to come out again this year coming (I will loose weight, fall in love or travel more), but I think we should change our mindset on these goals for the new year. We should take a closer look into our daily life and make realistic resolutions for ourselves. With that being said, I thought to compile a list for anyone to choose from:

Beauty comes from within

Your skin doesn't define you..

Ever since I can remember, my skin has been on a roller coaster from tiny breakouts to "don't look at me, breakouts". I am at the point of where my face shouldn't/doesn't define who I am. It's your personality that reflects who you are. I do take good care of my skin and I shouldn't worry what other people think, I should be comfortable in my own skin no matter what I look like. This is me. Yes hormones like to play nasty tricks on us, but that is life - either some people are born with great skin or some like me will have acne at some stage... We don't need to cover our face constantly, makeup is a creative tool, design to experiment, to highlight features but we shouldn't always use it as a mask. Everyone is different and it has taken a while to process that - that I am not the only one who has breakouts, moles or freckles. It's beautiful to be yourself, there is only one of you, God has made each of us uniquely individual, go out there and be your beautiful self!
Be comfortable and confident in who you are!

The one thing that does have an huge impact the way people see themselves is social media, it influences how "we" should be/ act/ look like. You and I should be confident in our own skin. Once and a while we have to let our skin breathe, instead of putting makeup on every single day. Nobody's perfect (Thanks Jessie J). My skin definitely doesn't define who I am and neither should yours!

Okay so I just wanted to get this message out there, for all you lovely people.
Don't let anyone dull your sparkle :)
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday or Saturday?

REVIEW: The Frank Effect

#Letsbefrank

If you haven't heard or seen frank body scrub, then where have you been living? Off instagram that's for sure! I received my Frank Body scrub 2 weeks ago and boy oh boy do I love it! I have used it 3 times since getting it.

Frank is a 'coffee scrub with minerals and essential oils for smooth, supple skin, and antioxidants to treat dry skin, stretch marks, scars, and acne’. I purchased two 200g packs of tough love, as I couldn't decide on which one I wanted more, so I bought two and definitely will be purchasing more! Frank had me at "Hey Babe".

I ordered the Original frank body scrub and the coconut & grapeseed scrub. The website recommends you to scrub 1-2 scrubs a week. Yet so far I don't use it every week. I use it 1-2 times one week then skip the next week then go back to using it the following week, it depends on how I feel really. You only need about two small handfuls to cover your body. I use the scrub whilst I'm in the shower, I rinse my body then apply the scrub and massage it into my skin, let it dry for about 5 - 7 minutes then I rinse off! Make sure to keep the scrub on you for at least 5 minutes to dry so it can have the frank effect (get it). Although my bathroom usually smells like a cafe after a scrub (it doesn't bother my sister too much - oh and do not eat it) just open the windows for your neighbours to smell. I couldn't wait to write this review, a true honest one!

After using it for the first time, I have felt a noticeable difference in my skin. It felt smoother, softer which is fabulous! Frank scrubbed away the dry dead skin and I don't mind the smell of coffee. For more information about the scrub, their website covers your questions.

If you live in Australia, it is only $14.95 for the original and $17.95 for the coconut & grapseed scrub. Definitely worth it! I don't know why I have not tried it sooner. I hope you all have the pleasure of scrubbing with Frank in the future. If you have, what are your thoughts, I'd be interested to know!

I was having a rotten day, so I got out my LUSH goodies and Frank body scrub to scrub my stress away :)

This is why

"I write because I love the feeling of having a single idea or thought, and allowing this force within me to take over and consume the page before me. I never know how it is going to turn out. I never know what direction it may lead me in. The final conclusions and thoughts all live in my unknown, mysterious place that only my subconscious mind has the map for, in surrendering to the flow of words I am being led blindfolded to somewhere magical that I have never been before. It's an adventure in itself, I don't need to leave my home."

Snapshot from feedmeblog - she gets it. This is why I started my own blog, I wanted to express my love for things, it gives me a voice and an insight to many people who I have not met, and might inspire them to follow what they love and enjoy!

Anyways, I hope that you're having a great week thus far!

Monochrome Love: PART 1

Hi everyone,

I thought to show  you guys a few ways to wear black and white. The key to wearing Monochrome would have to be, playing with different shapes, styles, texture and patterns to make it interesting and fun! You don't have to keep it with 'block' black and white all the time; black and white is easy, fun, fuss-free, simple, fashionable.
If in doubt, turn to monochrome ;)

This will be part 1 of the Monochrome series - I don't think I'd be able to fit most of the outfits into one blog post.

I really enjoy putting together outfits and being able to style, I just don't know why I don't do more of them... Not to worry, I'll be creating more in the future! Also a HUGE thank you to Sammi who is a total babe for helping me out with this lookbook!! :)

So that is all. Hope you enjoyed it and I will be uploading a video that is linked to these blog post's, on my Youtube channel shortly.

Outfit details:
Jumpsuit: Bardot (similar, without the sleeves) or here
Jacket: Temt (bought this on sale in Australia) similar
Heels: Bardot similar
Lipstick: Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm - these are AMAZING!

BEAUTY REVIEW: Tea Tree Primer Body Shop

Hello everyone!

Recently I have been breaking out really bad around my cheeks closer to my jawline... Not too bad, but bad enough that I had to do something about it, as it affected my self-confidence... So whilst skimming through other blogs I found a review on the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser from The Body Shop and right then and there I thought why haven't I seen/heard or even bought this product before! I am so grateful I did end up buying this little gem, as it is a lifesaver - Truly is!

I was ecstatic when I come home with new things to try, whether it's beauty related or clothing - so I couldn't wait to wipe off my makeup I was wearing that day and re-do my makeup the next day but with the use of my secret weapon, the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser!

It has a soft yet cold texture, helps my foundation stay on longer whilst leaving my skin feeling smooth - not having to worry about whether my foundation will impact my pores, plus it smells amazing (like tea tree should) and you do not need so much to apply on your face as a little can go along way! Like a pea size amount should do the job. I've been using the 'TTPM' for two weeks and a bit, I am loving it - it does what it's supposed to do! "Our new Tea Tree Pore Minimiser makes pores look smaller. Infused with Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil, it smoothes, primes and mattifies, and leaves skin feeling fresh and pure."

If you are in need of a "primer" then you can't go wrong with the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, I am definitely going back to get another tube of this baby when I run out! By the way always double check with the sales assistants, before buying any products - as skin types are always different!

What Primer/s do you have in your bag of beauty-goodies? I'm always up for trying new things :)

Fragrance Family

Hello everyone,

Super excited to have these two sweet-scented babies to my collection - well my small collection... I'd rather use the perfume I have rather then collect a bunch, I won't use until the next time - but that might change when a sale will pop up! Who doesn't like a sale!

I have been wanting these Marc Jacobs' perfumes for ages and now I have them!! Whenever I walk into a shop that has any Marc Jacobs perfume, I do the sneaky spray here and there, off I go smelling fabulous! The thing that drew me into buying it, has been the packaging, it's super adorable yet chic and feminine, the lady bug theme is a bonus! Loving the marketing done by Marc Jacobs team - bravo! Okay now onto the scent... I am horrible at describing scents but hey, why not give it a crack. Marc Jacobs DOT is a floral, flirty and fruity scent. It doesn't smell cheap, or too over-powering which is great, I do not want to smell like I've sprayed on cheap deodorant/perfume. Haha. Oh and I got these two at a reasonable price - $100 with a free Marc Jacobs makeup bag and limited edition Marc Jacobs umbrella.

Marc Jacobs DOT 30ml

Oh honey, how sweet thee are. Why have one when you can have two, it's a no- brainer. Although I have kept my eye on DOT for so long, this does not mean I won't have a soft spot (get it) for HONEY by Marc Jacobs. This little gem reminds me of Summer, sun shining, birds chirping, flowers blooming - full of energy and smelling awesome!

Marc Jacobs HONEY 30ml

Do you own any Marc Jacobs perfumes? Which one is your favourite?
Enjoy the rest of the week :)

I am All He says I am

Hello everyone,

It's Sunday night here in Australia and what better way to finish the weekend with a few thoughts that I'd love to share with you! So grab a cuppa and start reading :) It will be short and sweet.

Basically this applies to all of you out there not just the ladies, who it was mostly directed to in the service I heard...

You are ALL that God says you are; beautiful in His eyes, born in His image, called, chosen, desired, fully accepted, fully forgiven, fully loved, gifted, worthy and HIS.
The list can go on and on, but the point of this reminder is that you have to accept it, it's the truth and you walk in it!

You are called to GO!
You are heard to SPEAK!
You are gifted to SERVE!
You are made in His image so REFLECT!

Any word that you use to describe God's character should also describe your character. Don't forget that. Let this reminder be an affirmation for your beautiful God-given heart.

You are ALL He says you are.

Told you it was short and sweet, have a wonderful week ahead!

University

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well :)

These past few days have been life changing -  it's all Thanks to God our father and saviour!
At the start of the year and the past 2 years it has been a mix bag; started a new job - a job that I enjoy, applied and got into University! I was hesitant and anxious about going to University ever since I graduated from high school...

I threw myself into work life, which was great and all, but I've always wanted to do more with my time to be able to study something that will increase my knowledge and help me later on in the future.. You never know what the future will hold so you have to make the most of the present. So corny.

I was looking through my blog and found a blogpost I wrote 2 years ago saying how I would attend Uni - I didn't [insert the past me here] ...After high school I had a Gap Year, I'm turning 19 this year. I still haven't figured out what I want to be when I am older. There are many decisions - 1. Interior designer 2.Fashion Stylist 3. Travel blogger or 4. Keep doing what you're doing and eventually you will find your passion. I love being creative; I learn more when I am shown rather than told what to do. I enjoy art, fashion, rearranging my room (finding impressive furniture to make things work in a room).  Now this is where I get stuck... I just don't know which path will benefit me the most. Either start a course and see where it will lead me or to be a floater (to work and to travel, to have an adventure before I get older)...
